Edmund Rice Camps provides recreational camps programs for children experiencing disadvantage in the local community. We train and support young adult (17-27) volunteers to be matched one-on-one with a child (6-16) for a week to be a positive role model and best mate to boost the child's self-esteem and give them a break from a tough life. We need all the financial help we can get to respond to the massive need for kids to have this sort of fun in a safe, supportive, environment. The cost of sending one kid on a week-long camp is $900.
