Children's Charity Network

Donations to this organisation are tax deductible  This organisation accepts volunteer labour

Children's Charity Network is a not-for-profit community organisation, which acts as an umbrella for different initiatives for children. Every time a specific need is identified for children, Children's Charity Network establishes a new initiative. It acts as a platform to eradicate or assist with managing identified problems along with raising community awareness and acts as advocate for the "forgotten" children, the ones unrepresented and without a voice.

We have a flexible structure and a positive approach in everything we do, so we can quickly create initiatives where children's talents, creativity, and abilities are celebrated and recognised rather than focusing on their weaknesses.

We believe that by praising and rewarding children, we have found the right formula to build, foster and nurture self-esteem and confidence in children. However, we do acknowledge that in some cases, partnerships with other professionals are very important to achieve these goals.

Activities ran by Children's Charity Network

Australian Children's Literary Board
Vision: To instil the love of reading and writing in all Australian children and enhance the literary skills of children across Australia.
we plan to give every Australian child the opportunity to improve their reading and writing skills to reach their full potential in life.

Oz Kids in Print literary publication
Oz Kids in Print is a magazine filled with literary work from Australian Children, which we distribute nationally to schools, public libraries, etc, and publish online through the website.

Its purpose is to promote and support Australian children's literary talent and to provide a vehicle for children to appreciate and develop their literary skills and encourage them to continue in the art of writing, especially when they see their work published in our magazine and on our website www.ozkidz.com.au

Bright Kids for children with Specific Learning Difficulties

Inspire children with learning difficulties to take part in our literary workshops and write literary works to receive a Helen Handbury Achievement Award along with having their literary work put into consideration for a Helen Handbury Literary Award and be acknowledged at our Annual Awards Night. This is one way of raising awareness of learning difficulties in the community and simultaneously boosting children's self-esteem.

Inform by producing easy to follow "information kits" for Parents, teachers & carers so they better understand and recognize more quickly the symptoms of learning difficulties

Guide by making information available through our website: www.brightkids.org.au along with allocating the funds to children who appear to be suffering from a learning difficulty and do not have the financial means to be diagnosed by a medical professional.

Young at Art
To provide children with the opportunity to express themselves through the different Art forms, as we believe writing is not the only way a person can express herself.
By creating this initiative and the Young Australian Art Awards under its banner, many children will have the chance to enter these Awards and express themselves in an area they feel confident about.

To be given this opportunity will help build in children confidence and self-esteem, as they will learn that you can succeed in life even if you are not the best in reading and writing, and it is only a matter of recognizing where your talents lie and focus on those.
