Birds Australia is a conservation non-profit organisation with extensive member and volunteer networks. We work to preserve and protect Australia’s native birds and the habitats that sustain them through research, action, education and engagement. Our motto is conservation through knowledge, and as Australia’s oldest national conservation organisation, we have been a voice for Australia’s birds for over a century. We focus on birds as key measures of environmental health, and participate in projects at local, regional and international levels. Using best-practice science, we monitor birds then apply our findings through practical on-ground activity. The information generated is then shared, enabling all interested stakeholders to make better decisions that result in positive and sustainable conservation outcomes.
