The Wayside Chapel
Many of us "fall by the wayside" at some time in our lives. For some the
fall is temporary, for others it may be permanent. Some of us are fortunate
enough to have supportive families, friends and neighbours, good physical
and mental health and inner strength even in the face of the greatest
adversities.
People endure lives of hardship and abuse beyond belief. In our community
the incidence of mental illness, homelessness, drug and alcohol dependence
and self harm is very high. We try to be the good neighbour seeking to share
and support, to balance the load a little, to encourage and nurture, to
listen and to help our neighbours find their way back on the road.
