Ballarat Health Services was formed in 1997 with the amalgamation of the Ballarat Base Hospital and the Queen Elizabeth Centre. Grampians Psychiatric Services subsequently joined.
Ballarat Health Services is the region's leading provider of acute, emergency, aged, community and mental health services.
The Service provides a full range of acute care, aged care-residential, specialist and community based services, and mental health services to Ballarat and Western Victoria.
