Q. Do my donations really go to the children, families and communities that you say?

A. Yes! We are committed to supplying the exact donations that you have made. If however more donations are made than a country needs, we re-allocate the funds to a similar category to help children, families and communities.

Q. What type of gift card will I receive?
|
A. For every donation that you make, we will send you a printed gift card in the mail, which details the difference your gift will make. If you make the donation of four baby ducklings, you will receive an Animals gift card and if you make the donation of a school kit, you will receive the Education gift card. All you need to do then is write your personal message and pass the card on to whomever you have made the donation for!

Q. How long does it take to receive my gift card/s?

A. Please allow 10 days for delivery of your gift card/s. In order for you to write a personal message to your friend or family member, we will send the gift card directly to you, and not to your friends or family.

Q. Is Donations with a Difference tax deductible?
|
A. Yes. You will receive a tax deductible receipt for your donation with your gift cards.

Q. Why are certain gifts available for some countries and not for others?
|
A. Each item in the catalogue has been selected on a needs basis. So when you buy a school kit for a child in Cambodia, that’s because learning materials have been recognised as much-needed items in ChildFund Cambodia’s program areas.

Q. Why aren’t these items already provided with sponsorship money?
|
A. Sponsorship funds are used to implement long-term development programs, which are designed to set communities on the path to self-sufficiency. Gifts from Donations with a Difference help boost existing program work by providing items to aid livelihood generation and extend health and education initiatives

Q. Can I choose more than one item?
|
A. Yes, you can buy as many gifts as you like. Each time you purchase a Donation with a Difference item, you will receive a card detailing each individual donation you have made.

Q. If I am making a donation on behalf of a group of people, can I receive multiple receipts?
|
A. The receipt can only be sent out to the person making the donation ie the person’s details that are given on the online donation form.
